Last week I found and old Apple Macintosh in the trash. It is from around 1997. I have never owned a Mac, and when I have used them it has been only very briefly and superficially. I had to reinstall the Mac operating system to get the machine working correctly. I installed Mac-OS 9.1. The installation of the OS was very easy and organized. I was asked only a few questions, as opposed to other OSes that require a lot of user input to get installed. After the installation, I set up the network connection. There is a TCP/IP control panel and that is where all of the necessary parameters are set. It was easy to understand. It was not necessary to reboot before using the network connection. The Mac feels more organized and more refined than the other computers I use. Good tools are inspiring.
